AA Seminole District
The AA Seminole District is a district in Region III of the Virginia High School League. The schools of the district are located in and around the Lynchburg Metro (Lynchburg, Virginia). US 29, which passes through the area, is named the Seminole Trail through much of Virginia. All current member schools have won at least one state championship in football since 1988. The Seminole District gained State-wide recognition in the mid-2010s during an ongoing court case between VHSL and Liberty Christian Academy. The case went in favor of LCA, and the school became the first private institution to become a member of VHSL. The Bulldogs soon after became the eighth member of the league. Proposals in the Virginia General Assembly to mandate that the VHSL allow homeschooled students to compete for the public high school they would otherwise attend have failed to pass. U.S. Route 29 (US 29) is a north–south United States highway that runs for from Pensacola, Florida to the western suburbs of Baltimore, Baltimore, Maryland in the Southern United States, connecting the Florida Panhandle to the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area. This highway takes on an overall northeast-southwest direction, from its southern terminus at U.S. Route 90 (Florida), US 90 and U.S. Route 98 (Florida), US 98 in Pensacola, Florida to its northern terminus at Maryland Route 99 in Ellicott City, Maryland. Seminole Trail
U.S. Route 29 (US 29) is a major north–south route in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It covers from the North Carolina border at the city of Danville to the Key Bridge in Washington, D.C. US 29 roughly bisects Virginia into eastern and western halves, and along with Interstate 81 in western Virginia, and 85/ 95 farther east, provides one of the major north–south routes through the Commonwealth. Since 1928, when Virginia General Assembly passed Senate Bill 64, much of US 29 in Virginia is known as the Seminole Trail. Amherst County High School is a hood public high school, grades 9–12, serving Amherst County, Virginia, United States. Brookville High School (Virginia)
Brookville High School is a high school in Campbell County, Virginia, United States. The school was founded in 1926 with the first elementary classes beginning in November. The first high school classes began in 1927 with 2 teachers, and the first graduating class was 1930, with three graduates. The last graduating high school class from the original school was in 1966. The old building was eventually torn down in March, 1978 due to annexation. The current building was completed in 1969 and is now located on Laxton Road, on what is now the boundary between Campbell County and the city of Lynchburg. Jefferson Forest High School (JFHS) is one of the three high schools in Bedford County, Virginia. Jefferson Forest High School was first opened in 1972. The school's Principal is Brian Wilson, and the assistant principals are Jennifer Kline, Ben Martin, and Twanna Hancock.
