Georgia Gymdogs
The Georgia Gymdogs (officially the Georgia Bulldogs) is the women's gymnastics team of the University of Georgia. The team is part of NCAA Division I and competes in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Gymdogs compete in Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Georgia. The Gymdogs lead the nation with 10 NCAA Women's Gymnastics championship titles (including five consecutive wins from 2005–09) and 16 SEC championships. The team was coached by Suzanne Yoculan from 1983–2009 and by Jay Clark from 2009–12, Danna Durante from 2012-2017, and is currently coached by Courtney Kupets. West Virginia Mountaineers
The West Virginia Mountaineers are the athletic teams that represent West Virginia University, an American university located in Morgantown, West Virginia. The school is a member of National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I. The Mountaineers have been a member of the Big 12 Conference since 2012. At that time, the Mountaineers joined the Mid-American Conference as an affiliate member for men's soccer. The two major sports at the university are football (played at Milan Puskar Stadium) and basketball (played at the WVU Coliseum), although many of the other sports have large followings as well. The Kentucky Wildcats are the men's and women's intercollegiate athletic squads of the University of Kentucky (UK), a founding member of the Southeastern Conference. Jenny Hansen is an American stuntwoman and retired gymnast from Somerset, Wisconsin. Born in 1973, Hansen won three consecutive NCAA All-Around Championships between 1993 and 1995, the only person to ever win three straight All-Around titles. She attended the University of Kentucky from 1992 until 1996 and has since been named to the UK's Athletic Hall of Fame. The Michigan Wolverines women's gymnastics team represents the University of Michigan and competes in the Big Ten Conference. Under head coach Bev Plocki, the team has won 25 Big Ten championships and advanced to 25 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships, including sixteen consecutive appearances from 1993 to 2008. Beth Wymer
Beth Wymer (born October 5, 1972) is a former NCAA champion gymnast. While attending the University of Michigan, she won the NCAA event championship in the uneven bars three consecutive years from 1993–1995 and was a first-team All-American four times in the uneven bars, twice in the all-around, and once in the balance beam. In 1995, Wymer was named Big Ten Athlete of the Year. She was inducted into the University of Michigan Athletic Hall of Honor in 2006. Youth A native of Sylvania, Ohio, Wymer’s parents were both gymnasts, and they introduced her to the sport at age 5. In 1994, Wymer recalled: "My parents put me in gymnastics, actually. The UMass Minutemen are the athletic teams that represent the University of Massachusetts Amherst; strictly speaking, the ''Minutemen'' nickname applies to men's teams and athletes only — women's teams and athletes are known as ''Minutewomen''.
