AACTA Award For Best Television Drama Series
The AACTA Award for Best Television Drama Series is a television award handed out by the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA). It was previously awarded by the Australian Film Institute (AFI), from 1991 to 2010, and will continue to be presented by the Academy. It is awarded to a dramatic television series of no fewer than five episodes. It can be a series of self-contained stories which can be screened in any order or a number of interweaving and overlapping plots continuing from one episode to the next. Between 1991 and 2001, only individual episodes were awarded. The award has changed its name several times, and between 1993 and 2001, it became two separate categories; from 1991 to 1992, the award was called Best Episode in a Television Drama, Series or Serial; from 1993 to 2001 the award was split into Best Episode in a Television Drama Series and Best Episode in a Television Drama Serial and; from 1998 to 2001 Best Episode in a Drama Serial was changed to ...

Australian Academy Of Cinema And Television Arts
The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) is a professional organisation of film and television practitioners in Australia. The Academy's aim is "to identify, award, promote, and celebrate Australia's greatest achievements in film and television". It was established in August 2011 with the backing of the Australian Film Institute (AFI) to act as its industry engagement arm and to administer the AACTA Awards (formerly the Australian Film Institute Awards, also known as the AFI Awards) which rewards achievements in Australian feature film, television, documentary and short films. The Academy is composed of 15 Chapters, each of which represents different screen artists including actors, directors, producers and writers, and it is overseen by the Academy's president and the Honorary Council. Jane Scott (film Producer)
Jane Scott is a British-born Australian film producer. Scott was born in Epsom, Surrey. From a background in magazine journalism in the UK, she started out in the film industry at The British Film Institute Production Board working for three years as Production Coordinator. In 1972 Scott began her association with Australian film-making with Bruce Beresford on ''The Adventures of Barry McKenzie'', setting up the production in London and completing the film in Australia. Jane returned to Australia in 1973 for Reg Grundy Enterprises to work on a number of productions and again in 1974 as associate producer on ''Barry Mckenzie Holds His Own''. Sue Masters is an Australian television producer who is currently the executive producer of drama for Special Broadcasting Service (SBS). Family Master's mother Olga Masters was a journalist and writer. Her siblings Roy, Ian, Quentin, Chris and Deb have all been notably involved in media, television and film. ''Phoenix'' is a Logie Award-winning Australian crime drama television series broadcast by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation from 1992 to 1993. It was created by Alison Nisselle and Tony McDonald. The first series recounts the investigation of the bombing of a Victorian police social function, loosely based on the real life Russell Street Bombing in 1986. It was followed by a second series, ''Phoenix II'', based on a series of violent aggravated burglaries ("ag burgs") against wealthy senior citizens.
