A75 Motorway (France)
The A75 is an '' autoroute'' (motorway) in France. Known also as ''la Méridienne'', it is a developmental project with the aim of speeding up and reducing the cost of car travel from Paris southwards, and apart from the Millau Viaduct, it is entirely free for the between Clermont-Ferrand and Béziers. It was due for completion in spring 2011,"A75: Le point sur les travaux entre Pézenas et Béziers", ''Midi Libre'', 16 June 2008, p 3 but was fully open in December 2010. South of St. Flour there are excellent views of the Garabit viaduct. A large portion of the A75 is also part of the European route E11. Engineering achievements The building of a motorway across the Massif Central is, in itself, a formidable achievement. Much of the motorway runs at an altitude in excess of 800 m (2600 ft) with 50 km in excess of 1000 m (3250 ft). The single most impressive feature is undoubtedly the Millau Viaduct, which carries the road over the Tarn. It was ... A75 Road (Scotland)
The A75 is a primary trunk road in Scotland, linking Stranraer and its ferry ports at Cairnryan with the A74(M) at Gretna, close to the border with England and the M6 motorway. Route Heading west along the south coast of Scotland from its junction with the A74(M) motorway at Gretna it continues past Eastriggs, Annan, Dumfries, Castle Douglas, Gatehouse of Fleet, Newton Stewart, Kirkcowan and Glenluce before ending at Stranraer. The majority of the road is of single-carriageway standard, although a few short dual carriageway sections exist, including a one-mile section past Gretna, a section past Collin (just east of Dumfries,) a two-mile section just west of Dumfries and a 1-mile section at Barlae (Between Glenluce and Newton Stewart). The road is widely felt to be unfit for the current large volumes of freight using it, but successive Westminster and laterly Scottish Governments have repeatedly shelved previously planned substantive upgrades, and delayed much needed, meani ... Canon PowerShot A75
The Canon PowerShot A is a now discontinued series of digital cameras released by Canon. The A-series started as a budget line of cameras, although over time its feature set varied from low-end point-and-shoot cameras to high-end prosumer cameras capable of rivalling Canon's G-series. Models The series began with the A5 series, which was a very basic point-and-shoot camera line. The Axx series that followed offered full manual control (on most models) in a fairly bulky body. The A100/200/3xx/4xx series cameras are stripped-down with very little manual controls. The Axx series has branched off into the A5xx (replaced by the A1xxx series), A6xx, and A7xx series (the latter replaced by the A2xxx series). A-series camera are generally powered by 2 AA batteries. Features Software by Breezesys adds remote capture capability from a computer over the USB interface on early Canon PowerShot A models until around 2006.
