A65 Motorway (France)
The A65 autoroute is a motorway in south west France. Construction started in 2008 and it was officially opened on 14 December 2010. It connects Langon (Gironde) to Pau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), with a toll payable of € 19.70 for the complete journey by car. Known also as ''Autoroute de Gascogne'', its length is approximately . The construction project was initiated by CIACT, who announced the beginning of work in 2008. It was built by a joint venture A'LIENOR, 65% owned by Eiffage and 35% by SANEF, who will have effective control for 65 years. The financing, construction and running of the motorway was borne by the private company with no public subsidy required. Oloron-Sainte-Marie (; oc, Auloron e Senta Maria; eu, Oloroe-Donamaria) is a commune in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department, region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2015: Aquitaine), southwestern France. The A62 autoroute is a French motorway forming part of the ''Autoroute de Deux Mers'' (Two Seas Motorway). The entirety of the route forms the entirety of European route E 72, which is a part of the International E-road network, inter-European road system. The route of the A62 / E72 is between the cities of Bordeaux and Toulouse. The E72 was previously called E76 in 1975. The road is the western portion of the Autoroute de Deux Mers connecting Toulouse (as an extension of the A61 autoroute, A61) with Bordeaux with a junction with the A630 autoroute, A630. A ''déclaration d'utilité publique'', or declaration of public utility, is a formal recognition in French law that a proposed project has public benefits. The declaration must be obtained for many large construction projects in France, especially for infrastructure, before work can begin.
