Narges Rashidi ( fa, نرگس رشیدی) is an American-German actress of Iranian descent. She was born in Iran where her father was an army colonel. In 1987 she settled with her family in Turkey. A year later the family moved to Germany, where she grew up and studied acting. She has lived primarily in Los Angeles since 2005. Rashidi has appeared in many independent films and television productions,starting with the experimental film Venussian Tabutasco by Daryush Shokof in 2004 and primarily in Germany. She received widespread acclaim for her starring role in the 2016 film ''Under the Shadow'' by Babak Anvari, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Variety cited her as "a favorite breakthrough performance" at Sundance. A2Z is a Philippine free-to-air broadcast television network based in Quezon City, with its studios located in Ortigas Center, Pasig. It serves as a flagship property of ZOE Broadcasting Network in partnership with ABS-CBN Corporation as its main content provider. A2Z's flagship television station is DZOE-TV which operates on channel 11 (analog broadcast), and channel 20 (digital broadcast). The network's name is an abbreviation derived from the first letter of the names of two parent companies, ABS-CBN and ZOE, and the channel number of the now-recalled frequency of the former network (which is now owned by Advanced Media Broadcasting System's All TV). ''TV Patrol'' is a Philippine television newscast produced by ABS-CBN News. It premiered on March 2, 1987, at the former ABS-CBN television network, replacing ''Balita Ngayon''. ''TV Patrol'' is the flagship national newscast of the network and is the longest-running Filipino language evening newscast. The newscast is anchored by Bernadette Sembrano, Henry Omaga-Diaz and Karen Davila. Previous anchors include Noli de Castro, Korina Sanchez, Ted Failon, Mel Tiangco, and Julius Babao. The program formerly aired on ABS-CBN until May 5, 2020, when the network was forced to cease and desist its broadcasting operations by orders of the National Telecommunications Commission after its legislative franchise expired on May 4.
