A13 Motorway (Luxembourg)
The Autoroute 13, abbreviated to A13, is a motorway in southern Luxembourg. It is long and connects Pétange to Schengen, via all the largest towns in the Red Lands. At Schengen, it reaches the German border, whereupon it meets the A8, which crosses southern Germany. Overview For its western 20.4 kilometres, until it reaches Lankelz, it is known as the South collector road (french: Collectrice du Sud). For its eastern 21.9 kilometres, it is known as the Connection with the Saar (french: Liaison avec la Sarre), or Saar Autobahn ( lb, Saarautobunn). Pétange
Pétange (; lb, Péiteng, ; german: Petingen) is a Communes of Luxembourg, commune and town in south-western Luxembourg. It is part of the Esch-sur-Alzette (canton), canton of Esch-sur-Alzette. Pétange lies on the borders with both Belgium and France. , the town of Pétange, which lies in the north of the commune, has a population of 7,399. Other towns within the commune include Lamadelaine and Rodange. The commune is one of the List of communes of Luxembourg by area, smallest communes of Luxembourg, yet is the List of communes of Luxembourg by population, fifth-most populous. Rodange
Rodange (german: Rodingen) is a town in the commune of Pétange, in south-western Luxembourg. It lies next to the border with Belgium, across which is the town of Athus. The town is to the south-west of the town of Pétange and to the west of the smaller town of Lamadelaine. , Rodange has a population of 5,505, making it the 18th-most populous town in Luxembourg. The town has a railway station served by CFL trains. Rodange is situated on Line 70, which connects the south-west of the country to Luxembourg City; at Rodange, the line branches, and connects to both Athus and the French town of Longuyon (via Longwy).
