A. Maruthakasi
A. Maruthakasi (13 February 1920 – 29 November 1989) was an Indian poet and film lyricist who wrote mainly in the Tamil language. He penned more than 4000 lyrics in more than 250 Tamil films. Early life Born in Melakudikadu in Tiruchirappalli district on 13 February 1920 to parents Ayyamperumal Udayar and Milagayi Ammal, he had his primary education in the local village school. He had his higher education at Government College, Kumbakonam. After college, he wrote lyrics for the dramas staged by ''Devi Nadaga Sabha'' and to ''Mandirikumari'' a drama written by M. Karunanidhi. He also wrote lyrics for the drama company owned by Ka. Mu. Sheriff. The songs for the dramas were composed by Thiruchi Loganathan. Later, he joined as an assistant to Rajagopala Iyer, brother of Papanasam Sivan. Career In 1949, Modern Theatres was producing a Tamil film. G. Ramanathan was the composer. Vaali (poet)
Tiruchirapalli Srinivasan Rangarajan, professionally credited by his pseudonym Vaali (born 29 October 1931 – 18 July 2013) was an Indian poet who is the highest songs wrote lyricist in cinema and whose works were in Tamil, had a five-decade long association with the Tamil film industry, wrote over 15,000 songs. He acted in a number of films, including '' Sathya'', ''Hey Ram'', '' Paarthale Paravasam'' and '' Poikkal Kudhirai''. He was honoured by the Government of India with the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour in 2007. Biography Vaali was born in a Iyengar brahmin family as T. S. Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy
Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy were an Indian music composing duo composed of M. S. Viswanathan and T. K. Ramamoorthy. They worked together on over 100 films, from 1952's '' Panam'' to 1965's '' Aayirathil Oruvan''. After their split, Ramamoorthy worked on 16 films between 1966 and 1986. He and Viswanathan reunited in 1995 for ''Engirundho Vandhan''. Early lives Ramamoorthy Ramamoorthy, born into a well-known musical family in Trichy, was a capable violinist at an early age. His father (Krishnasamy Pillai) and grandfather, Malaikottai Govindasamy Pillai, were noted violinists in Trichy. As a child, Ramamoorthy performed several times with his father. ''Thai Piranthal Vazhi Pirakkum'' () is a 1958 Indian Tamil-language drama film, written directed and produced by A. K. Velan in his directorial debut. The film stars S. S. Rajendran, M. N.
