A.S. Pizzighettone
Associazione Sportiva Pizzighettone was an Italian association football club, based in Pizzighettone, Lombardy. History The club was founded in 1919 and up to season 1994–95 took part just to regional amateur championships, such as Eccellenza Lombardy. In 1995, the club promoted to Serie D, the top division of amateur football, which also a cross-regional league. After a long history of amateur leagues for years, in 2003 the team was promoted to Serie C2 for the first time in their history, under their coach Roberto Venturato. Having won promotion playoffs in 2005, Pizzighettone were promoted to Serie C1. It was relegated to Serie C2 in 2007 after play-out. The following year it was relegated to Serie D, but it was readmitted in 2008–09 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione (ex-Serie C2). In this season it was again relegated to Serie D. The Seconda Categoria is a level of football in Italy. It is the 8th level (since 2014-15) in the Italian football league system. Each individual league winner within the Seconda Categoria level progresses to their closest regional league in the Prima Categoria level. Sergio Porrini
Sergio Porrini (; born 8 November 1968) is an Italian football coach and former player. A tenacious, reliable, and determined defender, he was known for his tactical versatility and work-rate, as he was capable of playing both as a full-back and as a centre-back, although he was usually deployed as a right-back, despite his lack of notable technical ability. Porrini played for several Italian clubs throughout his career, although he is mostly famous for his periods at Juventus, and Scottish club Rangers, where he won several titles. Krasimir Chomakov ( bg, Красимир Чомаков; born 8 June 1977 in Plovdiv) is a former Bulgarian footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Chomakov is a former Bulgarian international and played with Maritsa Plovdiv, CSKA Sofia, Ravenna and Lecce. In 2002, after a short spell at Greek side Panionios, he opted to return to Italy and signed for then-Serie D club Boca San Lazzaro, where he played in a more attacking role, scoring 5 goals in 5 seasons (four in Serie D, plus one in Serie C2). Davide Astori
Davide Astori (; 7 January 1987 – 4 March 2018) was an Italian professional footballer who played as a central defender. After playing youth football for Pontisola and AC Milan, Astori started his senior career at Serie C clubs Pizzighettone and Cremonese, playing one season for each while on loan from Milan. In 2008, Cagliari signed him in a co-ownership deal, before signing him fully from Milan, for whom he never made a first team appearance, in 2011. He later spent loan spells at Roma and Fiorentina, before signing with the latter club permanently in 2016; he was subsequently named the team's captain in 2017. Astori made his international debut for Italy in 2011 and represented his country on 14 occasions, scoring one goal, which came in the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup third place play off, where he won a bronze medal. Crema (; Eastern Lombard, Cremasco: ) is a city and ''comune'' in the province of Cremona, in the region of Lombardy in northern Italy. It is built along the river Serio River, Serio at from Cremona. 2008–09 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione
The 2008–09 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione season was the thirty-first football (soccer) league season of Italian Lega Pro Seconda Divisione since its establishment in 1978, and the first since the renaming from Serie C2 to Lega Pro. It was divided into two phases: the regular season, played from September 2008 to May 2009, and the playoff phase from May to June 2009. It was composed of 54 teams divided into three divisions of 18 teams each, whose teams were divided geographically. Teams only played other teams in their own division, once at home and once away for a total of 34 matches each. Teams finishing first in the regular season, plus one team winning the playoff round from each division were promoted to Lega Pro Prima Divisione; teams finishing last in the regular season, plus two relegation playoff losers from each division were relegated to Serie D.
