A.S.D. Imperia
Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica Imperia commonly referred to as simply Imperia (formerly A.S.D. Pro Imperia), is an Italian association football club located in Imperia, Liguria and since 13 July 2012, after the disappearance from football of the former Imperia Calcio, the club is the main team of the city. In the 2011–12 season the club has played in Serie D after promotion from Eccellenza Liguria. In the 2011–12 and in the 2012–13 seasons in Serie D, when the club was relegated to Eccellenza Liguria, it has been the team more representative of the province of Imperia. Imperia
Imperia (; lij, Inpêia or ) is a coastal city and ''comune'' in the region of Liguria, Italy. It is the capital of the Province of Imperia, and historically it was capital of the ''Intemelia'' district of Liguria. Benito Mussolini created the city of Imperia on 21 October 1923 by combining Porto Maurizio and Oneglia, as well as the surrounding village communes of Piani, Caramagna Ligure, Castelvecchio di Santa Maria Maggiore, Borgo Sant'Agata, Costa d'Oneglia, Poggi, Torrazza, Moltedo and Montegrazie. Nicola Ascoli (born 11 September 1979) is an Italian football coach and a former player who played as a defender. He is the head coach of Imperia. He spent most of his career playing in Serie B and Serie C. The Serie D () is the top level of semi-professional football in the country. The fourth tier of the Italian league system, the competition sits beneath the third professional league, Serie C. It is administered by the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti and is organized by the Roman ''Comitato Interregionale'' (Interregional Committee), a "league in the league" inside the LND. The 2011–12 Serie D was the sixty-fourth edition of the top level Italian non-professional football championship. It represented the fifth tier in the Italian football league system.
