Athletic Club Port of Spain (previously known as North East Stars) is a Trinidad and Tobago professional football club, based in Port of Spain, Trinidad, that plays in the TT Pro League. The team plays its home games at the Hasely Crawford Stadium. History The team joined the Professional Football League as North East Stars beginning in the 2002 season, having previously played in Trinidad's ECFU league. The team joined the league with the explicit intention of representing the north-east of Trinidad, previously underrepresented in football circles. The team was terrible in their first season, finishing last in the league with a dismal record of 4 wins, 2 ties, and 22 losses. They improved dramatically in 2003, however, jumping from last to third, as they went 19–7–10. Anthony Daniel Charles (born 11 March 1981) is an English footballer who most recently played as a defender for Rugby Town. Born in Isleworth, he has played in the Football League for Barnet, Aldershot Town, Northampton Town and Plymouth Argyle. He has won four promotions with three clubs. Career A defender, Charles began his career with Brook House before being signed by Crewe Alexandra. However, he never made a first team appearance for the club. Radanfah Abu Bakr (born 12 February 1987 in Port of Spain) is a Trinidadian professional footballer who plays as a defender. Career Club Abu Bakr went to Queen's Royal College in Trinidad and began his career in Trinidad and Tobago side Caledonia AIA, before signing for Swansea City on 30 August 2009, in a short-term loan deal until 1 January 2010. He has been signed to help relieve the injury crisis at the club. Kim Gaboury better known by his pseudonym Akido (stylized as aKido) is a Canadian electronic rock musician and composer based in Montreal, Quebec.
