A.C. Bastia 1924 is an Italian football club based in Bastia Umbra, Umbria. The club played in Serie D from 1956 to 1958, 1988 to 1995 and from 2012 to 2015; currently, the club is back in Serie D after winning promotion in 2018. History The club was founded in 1924, the first line up was: Bartolucci Antonio; Mencarelli Brasillo, Cingolani Igino; Caldari Fioravanti, Alunni Annibale e Pascolini Alfredo; Petrini Arcangelo, Farello Giovanni, Bucefari Vincenzo, Celori Pronto, Giannotti Gino. In the early years the team didn't play in an official championship because of lack of money and played only friendlies. In 1935β36 the club played in the ''campionato unico per dilettanti''. Bastia Umbra
Bastia Umbra () is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Perugia in the Italian region Umbria, located about 15 km southeast of Perugia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 20,523 and an area of 27.6 km2.All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat. Bastia Umbra borders the following municipalities: Assisi, Bettona, Perugia, Torgiano. History First news of settlements in the area dates from the 11th century AD, although the presence of Roman ruins testify that it was inhabited also in ancient times. The Serie D () is the top level of semi-professional football in the country. The fourth tier of the Italian league system, the competition sits beneath the third professional league, Serie C. It is administered by the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti and is organized by the Roman ''Comitato Interregionale'' (Interregional Committee), a "league in the league" inside the LND. The Eccellenza (, "excellence") is the fifth level (since 2014β15) of Italian football. It is a regional league, composed of 28 divisions divided geographically. All 20 regions are represented by at least one division except for Piedmont and Aosta Valley which share 2 divisions. Veneto, Tuscany, Sicily, Emilia-Romagna and Campania also have 2 divisions each, while the regions of Lombardy and Lazio have 3 divisions. Prima Divisione (''First Division'') was the name of the first level of the Italian Football Championship from 1921 to 1926. The competition was initially founded in opposition to the FIGC by the richest clubs of Northern Italy, which disagreed the old format of the championship, based on plethoric regional groups. The ("Italy Cup") is an annual knockout cup competition in Italian football organized by the FIGC until the 2009β10 season and the Lega Serie A ever since. History The beginning of the tournament was turbulent, due to the complexity of the participation of the teams in the tournament, since its inception in 1921, the Italian championship was divided into two groups.
