Albert James "A. J." English III (born July 10, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for Mitteldeutscher BC of the Basketball Bundesliga. High school career The Delaware native played for Appoquinimink High School in Middletown, Delaware, leading the Jaguars to 12–9 (7–5) and 15–5 (12–2) records in his junior and senior seasons, respectively. English then played for St. Thomas More School, averaging nearly 18 points per game in his post-graduate season with the Chancellors, earning All-New England Prep School Athletic Conference Second Team. College career English committed to Iona College on April 24, 2012. Iona Gaels Men's Basketball
The Iona Gaels men's basketball team represents Iona University in New Rochelle, New York in NCAA Division I competition. The school's team competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and plays home games in Hynes Athletic Center. On March 14, 2020, the Gaels hired Rick Pitino as their head coach. Post-graduate Season
A postgraduate (PG) year is an extra year of secondary coursework at a boarding school following high school graduation, but before entering college. It is a gap year option intended for students who either have not applied or were not admitted to college. At most schools, postgraduate students are integrated with the senior class, where they are able to participate in the same activities and sports, as well as living and eating arrangements, as the seniors. In the United States, most of the programs are in New England. They started around the 1960s and were sponsored by the U.S. military academies, who would accept students after the one-year program. The Basketball Tournament (TBT) is an open-application, single-elimination tournament played each summer in the United States. The 2022 edition features 64 teams with a $1 million winner-take-all prize, broadcast by ESPN. TBT was founded in 2014 by Jonathan Mugar. Polish Basketball League
Polska Liga Koszykówki (PLK) (English language, English: Polish Basketball League) is a professional men's club basketball list of basketball leagues, league in Poland. It constitutes the first and highest-tier level of the Polish basketball league system, Polish league pyramid. The winning team of the final round are crowned the Polish Champions of that season.
