"A.M. 180" is a song by American indie rock band Grandaddy from their debut studio album, ''Under the Western Freeway'' (1997). It was released as a single in 1998 by record label Will Records, Will. Release It reached number 88 in the UK Singles Chart. Legacy "A.M. 180" was featured prominently in the 2002 British film ''28 Days Later''. It is used as the opening theme music for the BBC Four television series, ''Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe''. The song was used in a 2009 Dodge Journey advertisement. "A.M. 180" features in the "Eddsworld" episode, "Hello Hellhole". Belgian Indie rock band Girls In Hawaii regularly cover the song live, citing Grandaddy's 2003 set at Pukkelpop as paramount to their development as a band. Grandaddy is an American indie rock band from Modesto, California. The group was formed in 1992, and featured Jason Lytle, Aaron Burtch, Jim Fairchild, Kevin Garcia and Tim Dryden, until Garcia's death in 2017 following a stroke. After several self-released records and cassettes, the band signed to Will Records in the US and later the V2 Records subsidiary Big Cat Records in the UK, going on to sign an exclusive deal with V2. The bulk of the band's recorded output was the work of Lytle, who worked primarily in home studios. Grandaddy released four studio albums before splitting in 2006, with band members going on to solo careers and other projects. Pavement is an American indie rock band that formed in Stockton, California, in 1989. For most of their career, the group consisted of Stephen Malkmus (vocals and guitar), Scott Kannberg (guitar and vocals), Mark Ibold (bass), Steve West (drums) and Bob Nastanovich (percussion and vocals). Pukkelpop is an annual music festival that takes place near the city of Hasselt, Belgium, in mid- to late August. Girls in Hawaii is a Belgian indie pop band. Girls in Hawaii's first release was ''Found in the Ground: The Winter EP'' in early 2003, after which the band toured through Belgium and France. In the meantime, they started recording what would become their first LP. ''From Here To There'' was released in November 2003 in Belgium and in early 2004 in Europe.
