Du Chengyi (), known professionally as A-du (阿杜; ), is a Singaporean singer. Career Du was a construction foreman before been spotted by Singaporean producer Billy Koh in his company's talent search and was signed to Ocean Butterflies Music. He released his debut album in 2002. Personal life Du married Lai Weili (賴瑋莉; ) in January 2016. They dated before Du became a singer for 7 years before breaking up. They re-established their relationship during when Du was diagnosed with panic disorder. They have a child in May 2016. His nephew, Kenny Khoo Qiu Fengze (; born 31 October 1988), born Kenny Khoo (), is a Singaporean singer-songwriter based in Taiwan. Kenny Khoo
Qiu Fengze (; born 31 October 1988), born Kenny Khoo (), is a Singaporean singer-songwriter based in Taiwan. Khoo gained popularity after appearing in a role-playing game on the Taiwanese variety show '' 100% Entertainment'' in 2019. Career Pre-debut In 2012, Khoo auditioned and became one of the 12 participants in the singing competition ''Guinness Live!'' which was conducted in front of live audiences in various clubs. His performances caught the attention of director Chai Yee Wei which led him to be cast as one of the 4 lead roles in the Singapore music movie ''That Girl in Pinafore'' in 2013. Mandopop or Mandapop refers to Standard Chinese, Mandarin popular music. The genre has its origin in the jazz-influenced popular music of 1930s Shanghai known as Shidaiqu; with later influences coming from Japanese enka, Hong Kong's Cantopop, Taiwan's Hokkien pop, and in particular the School campus song, Campus Song folk movement of the 1970s.
