''976-EVIL II'', also known as ''976-EVIL 2: The Astral Factor'', is a 1992 supernatural horror–slasher film directed by Jim Wynorski. The film is a sequel to the 1988 horror film '' 976-EVIL''. It was referenced in ''Invasion of the Scream Queens'' (1992). Premise Leonard "Spike" Johnson (Patrick O'Bryan) returns to battle the supernatural in a small Californian college town. Someone is killing college co-eds at a rate that is causing alarm. A pretty student, Robin, learns that her dean, Professor Grubeck, is a ghost using astral projection and a satanic 976 " horrorscope" hotline to kill students. Jim Wynorski
Jim Wynorski (born August 14, 1950) is an American screenwriter, film director, director, and film producer, producer. Wynorski has been making B-movies and exploitation movies since the early 1980s, and has directed over 150 feature films. His earliest films were released to movie theaters, but his later works have predominantly been released to cable television, cable or the straight-to-video market. He often works under pseudonyms such as "Jay Andrews," "Arch Stanton," "H.R. Blueberry," "Tom Popatopolis," and "Noble Henry." Philip Anthony McKeon (November 11, 1964 – December 10, 2019) was an American child actor and radio personality, best known for his role as Tommy Hyatt, the son of the title character on the television sitcom ''Alice (American TV series), Alice'' from 1976 to 1985. Vestron Video was the main subsidiary of Vestron, Inc., a home video company based in Stamford, Connecticut, that was active from 1981 to 1993, and is considered to have been a pioneer in the home video market. The name is now used for a collector-oriented home entertainment label of Lionsgate. History Vestron was founded in 1981 by Austin Owen Furst Jr. (born 1943), an executive at HBO, who was hired to dismantle the assets of Time-Life Films. Furst bought the video rights of the film library for himself and decided to form a home entertainment company with these assets. originally called ''Puck Man'' in Japan, is a 1980 maze action video game developed and released by Namco for arcades. In North America, the game was released by Midway Manufacturing as part of its licensing agreement with Namco America. The player controls Pac-Man, who must eat all the dots inside an enclosed maze while avoiding four colored ghosts. Eating large flashing dots called "Power Pellets" causes the ghosts to temporarily turn blue, allowing Pac-Man to eat them for bonus points. Game development began in early 1979, directed by Toru Iwatani with a nine-man team. Iwatani wanted to create a game that could appeal to women as well as men, because most video games of the time had themes of war or sports. Karen Mayo-Chandler (18 April 1958 – 11 July 2006) was a British actress and model. She appeared in issues of ''Vogue'' and '' Harper's Bazaar'' magazines. After minor television and theatre appearances in the United Kingdom, she relocated to Los Angeles in 1982, and made her American television debut with a guest role on '' Bring 'Em Back Alive''. She made sporadic appearances on television and in films, mostly in the exploitation and horror genres.
