99 Ways To Die (song)
"99 Ways to Die" is a song by the American thrash metal band Megadeth. The song was recorded for the soundtrack to ''The Beavis and Butt-head Experience'', and was released as a single and a music video. The song was nominated in the "Best Metal Performance" category at the 1995 Grammy Awards. Background "99 Ways to Die", like many other Megadeth songs, is about band frontman Dave Mustaine's ex fiance, Diana. The song has rarely been performed live by Megadeth, with it only appearing live a handful of times in 1995. Mustaine played the song for the first time in over 20 years at the "Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp" in Deerfield Beach, Florida, in January, 2022. The song was performed with some campers as well as Brittany Denaro (AKA Britt Lightning), guitarist for the band Vixen. Brittany Denaro (born February 2, 1985), best known as Britt Lightning, is the lead guitarist for the band Vixen. From 2004 to 2011, Lightning performed in Jaded, an all-female hard rock based in Boston. The band released two albums, the latter including tracks produced by producer Gary Katz (Steely Dan). Jaded was a staple band in the Locobazooka, Rock 101 and WAAF festivals, and the New Jersey KISS Expos. In 2006, the band toured Europe in support of W.A.S.P. Nick Menza
Nicholas Menza (July 23, 1964 – May 21, 2016) was an American musician best known as the drummer for thrash metal band Megadeth from 1989 to 1998. He recorded drums on four of Megadeth's albums: ''Rust in Peace'' (1990), ''Countdown to Extinction'' (1992), ''Youthanasia'' (1994), and ''Cryptic Writings'' (1997). Marty Friedman (born December 8, 1962) is an American guitarist, best known for his tenure as the lead guitarist for thrash metal band Megadeth from 1990 to 2000. He is also known for playing alongside Jason Becker in Cacophony from 1986 until 1989, as well as his 13 solo albums and tours. David Ellefson
David Warren Ellefson (born November 12, 1964) is an American musician, best known for his long tenure as the bassist for thrash metal band Megadeth. Ellefson initially became an accomplished bassist and honed his songwriting skills while leading several of his own bands through the club scene of North America's Midwest region before relocating to Los Angeles. He was then the bassist of Megadeth from 1983 to their breakup in 2002, and again from 2010 to 2021. Vixen is an American rock band formed in Saint Paul, Minnesota, in 1980. During its most commercially successful period from 1987 to 1992, the band consisted of Jan Kuehnemund (lead guitar), Janet Gardner (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Share Ross (bass guitar), and Roxy Petrucci (drums).
