Chilli 90.1fm (call sign 7EXX) is an Australian radio station in Tasmania. Owned and operated by Australian Radio Network, ARN, it broadcasts a contemporary hit radio format to Launceston, Tasmania, Launceston and surrounding areas. First broadcast in 1938 as 7EX, the station currently broadcasts from studios in York Street, alongside sister station 89.3 LAFM. Weldborough is a rural locality in the local government areas of Break O'Day and Dorset in the North-east region of Tasmania. It is located about north-west of the town of St Helens. KIIS Network
The KIIS Network is an Australian commercial radio stations owned and operated by the ARN. Formerly branded as the Mix Network, the network was rebranded as the KIIS Network in 2015 following the relaunch of KIIS 101.1 Melbourne. The KIIS Network is named after KIIS-FM, a Los Angeles-based radio station broadcast on the 102.7 MHz FM band. History In November 2014, ARN announced that from January 2015 a year after the demise of Melbourne radio station Mix 101.1 and Sydney radio station Mix 106.5, the Mix Network would be rebranded as the KIIS Network, with KIIS 101.1 and KIIS 106.5 and alongside 97.3FM and Mix 102.3. Grant Broadcasters
Grant Broadcasters is an Australian regional radio network. Founded in 1942, by 2019 it owned 53 radio stations. In 2022 it sold 46 to Here, There & Everywhere retaining shareholdings in seven in Canberra, Geelong, Goulburn and Perth. History Grant Broadcasters was founded by Walter Grant in 1942 when he bought 2DU in Dubbo. In 1972 a shareholding in 2ST in Nowra was purchased followed in 1979 by 2PK in Parkes and in 1982 2MG in Mudgee. In 1986 2DU, 2PK and 2MG were sold with full ownership taken of 2ST. Over the next three decades, the company expanded through acquisition, purchasing radio stations in all states and territories of Australia, owning 53 stations by November 2021. ABC Northern Tasmania (call sign: 7NT) is the ABC Local Radio station for northern Tasmania, based in Launceston, owned by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. ABT (TV Station)
ABT is a television station operated by the publicly-owned Australian Broadcasting Corporation, with a transmission area covering southern Tasmania. ABT began broadcasting on VHF channel 2 on 4 June 1960, with studios in inner-city Hobart and transmitter at Mount Wellington. The "AB" in the call sign stands for "Australian Broadcasting", as in Australian Broadcasting Commission (now Australian Broadcasting Corporation). The "T" in the call sign stands for Tasmania. St Helens, Tasmania
St Helens is the largest town on the north-east coast of Tasmania, Australia, on Georges Bay. It is known as the game fishing capital of Tasmania and is also renowned for its oysters (as are some other areas of Tasmania).
