Radio Broadcasting
Radio broadcasting is transmission of audio (sound), sometimes with related metadata, by radio waves to radio receivers belonging to a public audience. In terrestrial radio broadcasting the radio waves are broadcast by a land-based radio station, while in satellite radio the radio waves are broadcast by a satellite in Earth orbit. To receive the content the listener must have a broadcast radio receiver (''radio''). CBEW-FM (97.5 MHz) is the call sign of the CBC Radio One station based in and serving Windsor, Ontario, Canada. CBEW broadcasts from transmission facilities at McGregor and also reaches the nearby Detroit area and parts of Southwestern Ontario through relay transmitters in Chatham–Kent, Leamington, and Sarnia. History The station first aired in 1935 as CRBC station CRCW 600 AM, which broadcast until 1938 (changing its call sign to CBW in 1937 after the CRBC became the CBC). Between 1938 and 1950, CBC Radio programming was aired on private affiliate CKLW. A CBC-owned station was subsequently relaunched in 1950 using the CBE call sign and 1550 frequency. CBAL-FM-4
CBAL-FM is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts SRC's Ici Musique network at 98.3 FM in Moncton, New Brunswick. The station went on the air as CBAF-FM on April 15, 1983. For a long time, it was the only station in Radio-Canada's FM service that didn't serve any portion of Quebec. It adopted its current call sign in 1989 after Radio-Canada AM outlet CBAF moved to the FM band and picked up the CBAF-FM call letters. CBAF-FM-15 is a French language Canada, Canadian radio station located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Owned and operated by the (government-owned) Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (French language, French: Société Radio-Canada), it broadcasts on 88.1 Hertz, MHz using a directional antenna with an average effective radiated power of 33,500 watts and a peak effective radiated power of 94,200 watts (List of broadcast station classes, class C). Latrobe Valley
The Latrobe Valley is an inland geographical district and urban area of the Gippsland region in the state of Victoria, Australia. The traditional owners are the Brayakaulung of the Gunai nation. The district lies east of Melbourne and nestled between the Strzelecki Ranges to the south and the Baw Baw Ranges, part of the Great Dividing Range, to the north.
