8th Jagran Film Festival
The 8th Jagran Film Festival is organized in 16 cities of India namely, Delhi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Patna, Dehradun, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bhopal, Indore, Hisar, Ludhiana, Meerut, Raipur, and Mumbai. This edition of the festival will showcase 185 films from all around the world. The festival is an initiative of Jagran Prakashan Group, a publishing house listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange of India, aimed at promoting the appreciation of the cinematic art beyond the major metropolitan cities of India to smaller towns. The 8th Jagran Film Festival was held from July 1 to September 24, 2017. The first edition of Jagran Film Festival was held in the year 2010. The Fakir Of Venice (film)
''The Fakir of Venice'' is a 2019 Hindi-language comedy drama film directed by Anand Surapur. The film stars Farhan Akhtar, Annu Kapoor and Kamal Sidhu in the lead roles and is written by Rajesh Devraj with a story from Homi Adajania. It was presented as Opening Night Film in April 2009 at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles. It was released on 8 February 2019, 10 years after its premier. The film's release was halted for ten years due to production related issues and was Akhtar's first acting role. The music is composed by A. R. Rahman. Prasoon Pandey (born 1961), is an Indian director of advertising films. Advertising Age listed him among the Top 100 advertising film directors of the world. Gunn Report ranked him at No. 24 in a list of the best and most awarded ad film directors in 2001. His ''One Black Coffee'' ad for Ericsson was the first Indian commercial to win at Cannes. Barry John (born 6 January 1945) is a former Welsh rugby union fly-half who played, during the amateur era of the sport, in the 1960s, and early 1970s. John began his rugby career as a schoolboy playing for his local team Cefneithin RFC before switching to first-class west Wales team Llanelli RFC in 1964.
