Spiegeltent
A spiegeltent (Dutch for "mirror tent", from ''spiegel''+''tent'') is a large travelling tent, constructed from wood and canvas and decorated with mirrors and stained glass, intended as an entertainment venue. Originally built in Belgium during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, only a handful of these spiegeltents remain in existence today, and these survivors continue to travel around Europe and beyond, often as a feature attraction at various international arts festivals. Two tents used by Teatro ZinZanni have been in (more or less) fixed locations in Seattle and San Francisco for several years. The Melba Spiegeltent spent the better part of a century touring Europe, but is now permanently located in Melbourne, Australia. Krzysztof Kieślowski
Krzysztof Kieślowski (; 27 June 1941 – 13 March 1996) was a Polish film director and screenwriter. He is known internationally for ''Dekalog'' (1989), ''The Double Life of Veronique'' (1991), and the ''Three Colours'' trilogy (1993 –1994).Stok 1993, p. xiii. Robert Bresson
Robert Bresson (; 25 September 1901 – 18 December 1999) was a French film director. Known for his ascetic approach, Bresson contributed notably to the art of cinema; his non-professional actors, Ellipsis (narrative device), ellipses, and sparse use of scoring have led his works to be regarded as preeminent examples of Minimalism, minimalist film. Much of his work is known for being tragic in story and nature. Bresson is among the most highly regarded filmmakers of all time. He has the highest number of films (seven) that made the 2012 ''Sight & Sound'' critics' poll of the 250 greatest films ever made. János Szász
János Szász (born 14 March 1958) is a Hungarian film director, screenwriter and theater director. He has directed eleven films since 1983. His film ''The Witman Boys, Witman fiúk'' was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1997 Cannes Film Festival and was entered into the 20th Moscow International Film Festival. His 2007 film ''Opium: Diary of a Madwoman'' was entered into the 29th Moscow International Film Festival. Szász was the Director of the American Repertory Theater Institute and a faculty member from March 2001. He has directed numerous theatrical productions including six stagings with the American Repertory Theater. ''Son of the Shark'' (French: ''Le Fils du Requin'') is a 1993 French film directed by Agnes Merlet, about two brothers, Martin (Ludovic Vandendaele) and Simon (Eric Da Silva), and their adventures as juvenile delinquents in the north of France. Inspired by a well-known passage of Lautréamont's ''Les Chants de Maldoror'', Martin holds a belief, in which he claims to be "the son of a female shark". He hopes that someday he and his brother, Simon will disappear to the bottom of the ocean, where they will live happily ever after surrounded by dancing fish. Bakhtyar Khudojnazarov (Russian/ tg, Бахтиёр Худойназаров, fa, بختیار خداینظرف) (May 29, 1965 – April 21, 2015) was a film director, producer and screenwriter from Tajikistan. His most internationally famous film is the comedy '' Luna Papa'' (1999). He won a Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival for his film '' Kosh ba kosh'' (1993). In 2000 he was a member of the jury at the 22nd Moscow International Film Festival. Khudojnazarov lived in Berlin, Germany, from 1993 and died from a short illness aged 49.
