7th TVyNovelas Awards
The 7th TVyNovelas Awards, is an Academy of special awards to the best soap operas and TV shows. The awards ceremony took place on May 10, 1989 in Centro Libanés, Mexico D.F. The ceremony was televised in Mexico by El canal de las estrellas. Lucero hosted the show. ''Amor en silencio'' won 6 awards including Best Telenovela, the most for the evening. Other winners ''Pasión y poder'' and ''Nuevo amanecer'' won 3 awards, ''Encadenados'' won 2 awards and ''El pecado de Oyuki'' and ''Flor y canela'' won one each. Arturo Peniche
Arturo Peniche (born Arturo Delgadillo Peniche on May 17, 1962) is a Mexican telenovela actor who became popular in Latin America during the 1990s. He is the brother of actor Flavio Peniche, who appears in the telenovela '' La Traición''. Biography Peniche struggled as an actor for many years before reaching stardom. Although he graduated from the famous Televisa school of actors, he found himself competing against other figures such as Guillermo Capetillo, Andrés García, Jaime Garza and Salvador Pineda, among others. Peniche acted in several commercials during that period, experience that would later on help him land top roles at Televisa's telenovelas. One commercial, in which he sells bracelets with supposedly special powers made him somewhat famous in Puerto Rico and other parts of Latin America. Humberto Zurita (, born September 2, 1954) is a Mexican actor, director and producer. Zurita, one of 10 siblings from Torreón, Coahuila, is best known as actor, director and producer of telenovelas.
