Krept And Konan
Krept and Konan is a British hip hop duo from London, consisting of Casyo Valentine "Krept" Johnson BEM (born 4 February 1990, Gipsy Hill) and Karl Dominic "Konan" Wilson BEM (born 3 September 1989, Thornton Heath), the son of Delroy Wilson otherwise known as 'Jamaica's first child star'. Their first major release was the mixtape ''Young Kingz'', released on 2 September 2013. As of 3 May 2013, Krept and Konan signed a record deal with Virgin EMI Records. Their debut album '' The Long Way Home'' was released on 5 July 2015 and entered the UK Albums Chart at number 2. British hip hop, also known as UK hip hop or UK rap, is a genre of music, and a culture that covers a variety of styles of hip hop music made in the United Kingdom. Trap Music (hip Hop)
Trap is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in the Southern United States during the 1990s. The genre gets its name from the Atlanta slang word "trap", a house used exclusively to sell drugs. Trap music uses synthesized drums and is characterized by complex hi-hat patterns, tuned kick drums with a long decay (originally from the Roland TR-808 drum machine), and lyrical content that often focuses on drug use and urban violence. ''The Long Way Home'' is the debut studio album by British hip hop duo Krept and Konan. Originally scheduled for release on 6 July 2015, the album was released a day early on 5 July 2015 by Play Dirty, Virgin EMI and Def Jam. The album features guest appearances from British singers Emeli Sandé, Rebecca Garton and Ed Sheeran, American singer Jeremih, American rappers Rick Ross, YG and Wiz Khalifa, British rapper Skepta and Derrick Morgan. A mixtape (alternatively mix-tape, mix tape or mixed tape) is a compilation of music, typically from multiple sources, recorded onto a medium. Chief Joseph Olaitan Adenuga Jr. (born 19 September 1982), known professionally as Skepta, is a British-Nigerian grime MC, rapper and record producer.
