7 (U2 EP)
''7'' is an EP by the Irish rock band U2, released exclusively at Target retailers in the United States in 2002. It collects various B-sides from ''All That You Can't Leave Behind''-era singles, which were previously unavailable in the US. The title refers to the number of tracks. Likewise, at the time of its release, ''7'' was priced at nearly seven US dollars. The title is also a homage to ''Three'', the group's first release. Release ''7'' was released at all 1,055 Target stores in the US on 22 January 2002. Its original retail price was US$6.99. Track listing "Always" is an early version of "Beautiful Day". "Big Girls Are Best" was a leftover from the '' Pop'' sessions. This Influx mix of "Elevation" was used to open shows on the Elevation Tour. Elevation Tour
The Elevation Tour was a worldwide concert tour by Irish rock band U2. Staged in support of the group's 2000 album ''All That You Can't Leave Behind'', the tour visited arenas across North America and Europe in 2001. Contrasting with the extravagant, outdoor productions of the band's previous two live ventures, the Zoo TV Tour (1992–1993) and the PopMart Tour (1997–1998), the Elevation Tour saw them return to indoor arenas with a much more stripped-down, intimate stage design. The stage featured a heart-shaped catwalk that encircled many audience members, and festival seating was offered in the United States for the first time in the group's history. The discography of the Irish rock band U2 consists of 14 studio albums, one live album, three compilation albums, 67 singles, and nine extended plays (EPs). The band formed at Mount Temple Comprehensive School in 1976 as teenagers. In 1979, the group issued their first release, the EP '' U2-3'', which sold well in Ireland. The following year, the group signed to Island Records and released their debut album, ''Boy''. It reached number 52 in the UK and number 63 in the US. They followed it up with the release of ''October'' (1981) and ''War'' (1983). Nigel Godrich
Nigel Timothy Godrich (born 28 February 1971) is an English record producer, recording engineer and musician. He is known for his work with the English rock band Radiohead, having produced all their studio albums since '' OK Computer'' (1997). He has also produced several projects by the Radiohead singer, Thom Yorke. He is a member of Atoms for Peace (with Yorke) and Ultraísta. Early in his career, Godrich worked as the house engineer at RAK Studios, London, under the producer John Leckie.
