The Seventy-Fourth Wisconsin Legislature convened from to in regular session. Wisconsin Legislature
The Wisconsin Legislature is the state legislature of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The Legislature is a bicameral body composed of the upper house, Wisconsin State Senate, and the lower Wisconsin State Assembly, both of which have had Republican majorities since January 2011. With both houses combined, the legislature has 132 members representing an equal number of constituent districts. The Legislature convenes at the state capitol in Madison. The current sitting is the 105th Wisconsin Legislature. Oakfield is a village in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,052 at the 2020 census. The village is located within the Town of Oakfield. History A post office called Oakfield has been in operation since 1850. The village was named for a grove of oak trees near the original town site. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) is a government agency of the U.S. state of Wisconsin charged with conserving and managing Wisconsin's natural resources. The Wisconsin Natural Resources Board has the authority to set policy for the WDNR. The WDNR is led by the Secretary, who is appointed by the Governor of Wisconsin. The 1960 Wisconsin gubernatorial election was held on November 8, 1960. Democrat Gaylord A. Nelson won the election with 51.5% of the vote, retaining his position as Governor of Wisconsin.
