713 Series
The is a Japanese AC electric multiple unit (EMU) train type first introduced by Japanese National Railways (JNR) in 1984 and later operated on local services by Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu). As of 1 October 2012, all four of the 2-car sets are still in active service. Operations Based at Kagoshima Depot, the fleet of four 2-car 713 series trains are used on Nippo Main Line services. Formations The 2-car sets, numbered LK1 to LK4, are formed as follows. The KuMoHa 713 car is fitted with one PS101D lozenge-type pantograph. External livery When delivered, the trains were originally painted in cream ("Cream No. 1") with green ("Green No. 14") bodyside bands, matching the 715 series EMUs. Between 1986 and 1987, the sets were repainted in the standard Kyushu livery of white with blue bodyside bands. One-person operation (OPO), also known as driver-only operation (DOO), one-man operation (OMO), single person train operation (SPTO), or one-person train operation (OPTO), similarly to Driver Controlled Operation, is operation of a train, bus, or tram by the driver alone, without a conductor. On one-person operated passenger trains, the engineer must be able to see the whole train to make sure that all the doors are safe for departure. The is a railway line in Kyushu, Japan, operated by the Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu). It connects Kōhoku Station in Kōhoku, Saga Prefecture to Sasebo Station in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture. It is part of the route connecting Sasebo with Saga and Fukuoka. Most of the line runs parallel to National Routes 34 and 35. From 1898 to 1934 the Hizen-Yamaguchi - Haiki section was part of the original Nagasaki Main Line.
