6th Of October Panorama
The 6th of October War Panorama is a museum and memorial to the 1973 October war, located in Heliopolis, Cairo. Constructed over an area of 7.5 feddans (around 32,000 square metres), it was inaugurated on 5 October 1989 by former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak. It was built as a cylindrical fort-like building molded in Islamic architectural style with partial assistance from a group of North Korean architects and is run by the Egyptian National Military Museums Department. October War Panorama
The October War Panorama ( ar, بانوراما حرب تشرين) is a National museum located in Damascus, Syria which commemorates the memory of the 1973 October War between Egypt and Syria against Israel from a Syrian perspective. History The museum, like Egypt's 6th of October Panorama, was built with the assistance of North Korea, as evident by the socialist-realist reliefs in the museum and a large mural showcasing Assad hand-in-hand with Kim il-Sung. The museum was inaugurated in 1998 by president Hafez al-Assad. Exhibits The museum displays the tanks, jets and weaponry used by Syria during the war, most of them USSR, Soviet-made, captured Israeli weaponry, such as Israeli tanks, most of them captured during the 1973 war, with an exception of a tank captured from Israel in the Battle of Sultan Yacoub which occurred during the 1982 Lebanon War, as well as the wreckage and remains of Israeli jets downed by the Syrian Air Defense Force. Egyptian Military Museum
The Egyptian National Military Museum is the official museum of the Egyptian Army. Location The National Military Museum is located at the north western area of the three Haram Palaces, inside the Cairo Citadel. It overlooks the Mokattam Hills and the entrance to the Citadel. The Haram Palaces were constructed by Mohamed Ali Pasha in 1872. Establishment The museum was established in 1937 at the old building of the Egyptian Ministry of War in downtown Cairo. It was later moved to a temporary location in the Garden City district of Cairo. In November 1949 the museum was moved to the Haram Palace at the Cairo citadel. It has been renovated several times since, in 1982, 1993 and 2011. In theatre, a platform (also referred to as a riser or rostrum) is a stationary, standard flat walking surface for actors to perform on. Typically, they are built to be assembled modularly. They are often used to provide varying levels, to make a show more visually interesting. They are also used to separate areas on stage, and as seating bleachers. This is in contrast to scenery wagons, which are mobile platforms that are supported by casters instead of feet. Construction Platforms are composed of a frame, a lid, and legs. Lids Lids are typically made from a sheet of plywood, although oriented strand board is also sometimes used. Sometimes another layer is added on top of the plywood. Panorama
A panorama (formed from Greek πᾶν "all" + ὅραμα "view") is any wide-angle view or representation of a physical space, whether in painting, drawing, photography, film, seismic images, or 3D modeling. 1973 Yom Kippur War
The Yom Kippur War, also known as the Ramadan War, the October War, the 1973 Arab–Israeli War, or the Fourth Arab–Israeli War, was an armed conflict fought from October 6 to 25, 1973 between Israel and a coalition of Arab states led by Egypt and Syria. The majority of combat between the two sides took place in the Sinai Peninsula and the Golan Heights—both of which were occupied by Israel in 1967—with some fighting in African Egypt and northern Israel.
