6th TVyNovelas Awards
The 6th TVyNovelas Awards, is an Academy of special awards to the best of soap operas and TV shows. The awards ceremony took place on April 18, 1988 in the Centro libanes, México D.F. The ceremony was televised in the Mexico by Canal de las estrellas. Claudia Córdova and Raúl Velasco hosted the show. ''Quinceañera'' won 8 awards including Best Telenovela of the Year, the most for the evening. Other winners ''Senda de gloria'' won 4 awards, ''Rosa salvaje'' won 2 awards and ''Victoria'', and ''Tal como somos'' won one each. Senda De Gloria
''Senda de gloria'' (English title: ''Path to Glory'') is a Mexican telenovela produced by Ernesto Alonso for Televisa in 1987. The telenovela recreates historical events in Mexico between 1916 and 1939. It starred Eduardo Yáñez, Julieta Rosen, Ignacio López Tarso, Blanca Sánchez, Roxana Chávez and Anabel Ferreira. Plot The story begins in 1916, with the Mexican Revolution seemingly coming to an end. René Muñoz
René Muñoz (February 19, 1938 – May 11, 2000) was a Cuban actor and screenwriter of telenovelas and the cinema of Mexico. He is most remembered for his role in the Spanish film ''Fray Escoba''. Biography He was born in Havana, Cuba but started his acting career in Spain with the film ''Fray Escoba'' of Ramón Torrado.
