64th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen
The 64th NHK Red & White Year-End Song Festival (第64回NHK紅白歌合戦) was aired on December 31, 2013. This edition's theme was "歌がここにある" ("Uta ga Koko ni Aru", "The Song Is Here") and the captains were Arashi (Shirogumi) and Haruka Ayase (Akagumi). This was the 25th edition on Heisei Era. The most notable highlights from this edition were the ''Amachan'' special segment, Yuko Oshima's surprise graduation announcement during AKB48 performance, and final performance from Saburo Kitajima who announced an honorable retirement from Kouhaku after 50 performances. For the second time (since 2012), the won this event, this time using a ball system. The final score was 4-9 (Shirogumi wins). About the Show Once again, NHK gave priority to Japanese artists, including rookie Chris Hart, who sang on stage with Seiko Matsuda. Sexy Zone
Sexy Zone is a five-member Japanese boy band managed by Johnny & Associates, consisting of Shori Sato, Kento Nakajima, Marius Yo, Fuma Kikuchi and Sou Matsushima. When they debuted their group age average was 14.6. In 2013 they appeared in Kouhaku for the first time performing their hit song. Sexy Zone is the 5th group from Johnny & Associates to debut as special supporters for the "FIVB World Cup Volleyball" in 2011 after V6 (1995), Arashi (1999), NEWS (2003) and Hey! Say! , formerly simply J Soul Brothers and stylized as Sandaime J Soul Brothers from Exile Tribe, are a J-pop vocal and dance group formed by Exile ex-leader and producer Hiroyuki Igarashi in Japan in 1991. Sandaime J Soul Brothers are managed by Hiroyuki's talent agency LDH and are a part of the supergroup, Exile Tribe. , is a Japanese singer, part of Sony Music Entertainment Japan. His real name is . In the 1970s, he was called the with Goro Noguchi and Hideki Saijo. He belonged to Johnny & Associates, but later left the agency. He also effectively became the Japanese answer to Ricky Martin after his 1999 Japanese version of " Livin' la Vida Loca," which was called "Goldfinger '99". E-girls
E-girls (sometimes stylized as E-Girls or e-girls; stands for Exile Girls) was a Japanese collective girl group created and managed by LDH while signed to music label Rhythm Zone from Avex. As of 2017, the band consisted of 11 members; 8 of which featured members of groups Happiness and Flower. Created as a sister act to boy band Exile, E-girls debuted in 2011 with their single "Celebration". is the ninth single of Hideaki Tokunaga, which was released on January 16, 1990. The song was the ending song of the first 26 episodes of the anime television '' Dragon Quest: Legend of the Hero Abel''. The song peaked No. 3 on Oricon's weekly singles chart, and ranked first in the annual chart of the radio show "Ten Best National Songs". The single was originally planned for release on January 15, but since that day was the Japanese holiday Coming of Age Day, the release was postponed until January 16 because of fears that primary school children who are Dragon Quest fans would overwhelm record stores. is the eighth single by Japanese girl group NMB48. It was released on October 2, 2013, and reached the number one on the weekly Oricon Singles Chart. Background Kamonegikkusu means "Kamo ga negi wo shotte kuru" (lit. a duck comes carrying a Welsh onion on its back) is a Japanese proverb that means a stroke of luck occurs, and things become more and more convenient. According to NMB48 member Sayaka Yamamoto, "The title was a coined word by Yasushi Akimoto". It is a song about a girl who despite being a convenience just like Kamonegi, does not learn from her mistakes and falls in love." NMB48 (read "N.M.B. Forty-eight") is a Japanese idol group that debuted in 2011 as the second sister group to AKB48, produced by Yasushi Akimoto. NMB48 is named after the Namba district in Osaka city of Osaka Prefecture, where the group is based. The group performs at the NMB48 Theater, which is located in the basement of the Yes-Namba Building in Namba, Osaka. The group has sold over 9 million CDs in Japan.
