60 Second Docs
''60 Second Docs'' is a web series produced by Indigenous Media of original, short documentary videos produced and distributed weekly. The series launched on 26 July 2016 with two original videos. In 2019 the series received the Webby Award for Video - Documentary. The series has been described as "to capture the human experience by highlighting the most interesting and unusual characters on the planet". Some videos garnering a large amount of views are "Areola Tattoos", "Mommy Milk Factory", "DIY Horror Makeup", "Flip-Flop Art", "Autism Car Wash", and "Daddy Daughter Hair School". The videos were first distributed on Facebook, YouTube, and Vidme and now distribution channels include Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. A partnership announced in April, 2019 with Howie Mandel's Alevy Productions brings the series to television. Jon Avnet
Jonathan Michael Avnet (born November 17, 1949), is an American director, writer and producer. Early life and education Avnet was born in Brooklyn, the son of Joan Bertha (née Grossman) and Lester Francis Avnet, a corporate executive with Avnet (a Global distributor of IT & electronics) founded by his grandfather, Charles Avnet. He has two siblings, Carole Avnet Rocherolle and Rosalind Avnet Lazarus. He attended Great Neck North High School in Great Neck, New York. He earned a B.A. degree in film and theater arts from Sarah Lawrence College in 1971. He is Jewish. Career Before that Jon Avnet partnered with Steve Tisch on his production company, before teaming up with McNeil/Allyn Films on motion pictures and television movies. The YouTube Streamy Awards, also known as the Streamy Awards or Streamys, are presented annually by Dick Clark Productions and Tubefilter to recognize excellence in online video, including directing, acting, producing, and writing.
