5 Gold Rings
''5 Gold Rings'' is a British game show that aired on ITV from 5 March 2017 to 6 December 2020. It was hosted by Phillip Schofield. It was based on the Dutch game show ''5 Golden Rings'', with the first series being filmed on the same set in the Netherlands and the second and third series at BBC Elstree Centre in London. An app had also been released, so viewers can play along with the show. Gameplay Overview Two teams of two contestants each compete through five rounds to build up separate prize banks. At the start of each round, the teams choose one member to play. A picture is displayed on a large circular LED screen set into the studio floor, and the contestant has 30 seconds to place a gold ring on a spot named by the host. Successfully doing so (defined as having any portion of the correct spot within the ring) adds money to the team's bank. Jorge Fernández Madinabeitia (born 8 August 1972 in Alicante, Spain) is a Spanish TV presenter, model, actor and basketball player from the Basque Country. Biography Born in Alicante, Fernández was raised in the Gipuzkoan town of Mondragón/ Arrasate. Fernández is graduated in sports from the University of the Basque Country at the Basque Institute of Physical Education in Vitoria and worked as a sports teacher at the Virgen Niña school in Gasteiz. When he was 26, he joined a model academy in San Sebastián. He was also a basketball player debuting in Liga ACB with the TAU Ceramica Baskonia from Vitoria-Gasteiz in 1998. Channel 13 ( he, ערוץ 13), formally known as Reshet 13 ( he, רשת 13), is an Israeli free-to-air television channel owned by RGE Media Group and Reshet. It was launched on 1 November 2017 as one of two replacements of the outgoing Channel 2. Channel 13 also known as Nana 13 and Reshet 13 and broadcasting in Hebrew. Olivier Minne (born 18 March 1967 in Ixelles, Belgium) is a Belgian-born French television presenter, actor and producer. Biography Minne was born in Belgium, the son of a Belgian father and a French mother.
