''5-25-77'' is a coming-of-age film written and directed by Patrick Read Johnson and produced by Fred Roos and Gary Kurtz. Patrick Read Johnson (born May 7, 1962) is an American filmmaker, special effects artist and screenwriter. Born in Wadsworth, Illinois, he is best known for his directorial work on the films ''Spaced Invaders'', ''Angus'', ''Baby's Day Out'', '' The Genesis Code'' and ''5-25-77''. He also has written and produced such films as ''Dragonheart''. Justin Michael Mentell (December 16, 1982 – February 1, 2010) was an American artist and actor. He was best known for his role as Garrett Wells on ''Boston Legal''. He died in a car accident in Iowa County, Wisconsin. Life and career Mentell was born in Austin, Texas. He made his stage debut at three years of age as an orphan in ''Miss Liberty'', and went on to appear in local theater productions, among them the musical ''Peter Pan'', in which he portrayed one of the Lost Boys. Frederick Ried Roos (born May 22, 1934) is an American film producer. Biography Fred Roos was born on May 22, 1934, in Santa Monica, California, the son of Florence Mary (née Stout) and Victor Otto Roos. He attended Hollywood High School and subsequently attended University of California, Los Angeles, majoring in theatre arts and motion pictures. He started his career in television as a casting director for ''The Andy Griffith Show''.
