5'nizza Band Logo
5'nizza (slang spelling of uk, п'ятниця , meaning "Friday") is an acoustic music, acoustic group formed in 2000 in Kharkiv, Ukraine that disbanded in 2007 and reunited in 2015. It is made up of friends Serhii Babkin (, guitar), and Andrii "Sun" Zaporozhets (, vocals). The band's music has a combination of influences: reggae, Latin American music, Latin, rock (music), rock and Hip hop music, hip hop, which is performed in a minimalistic folk music, folk style limited to vocals, beatboxing, and acoustic guitar. Despite lack of support from large labels, the group attracted cult following in much of Central Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, notably Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Poland and Germany. 5'nizza's song "" ("''Natyany''") was featured on American Idol, Season 16 Episode 2, on March 12, 2018 in the USA on ABC Television, when sung by Idol contestant Misha Gontar. Markscheider Kunst (Маркшейдер Кунст) is a ska band from St.Petersburg, Russia. It plays afro-rock, soukous, ska and reggae. Russian musical influences can be heard in their music as well. Luk (stylised as Lюk) was a Ukrainian music band from Kharkiv. The band's style joins acid jazz, lounge and rock. In their texts musicians used mostly Ukrainian, Russian and French. Luk was formed in 1999. The name was given accidentally without special meaning (''люк'' means ''manhole''). After released four studio albums Luk declared its break up in 2011. Luk collaborated with Kharkiv-based Ukrainian writer Serhiy Zhadan. Most of their Ukrainian-language songs were witten in lyrics of Zhadan (in particular the first album ''Tourist zone'' is based on Zhadan's play "Merry Christmas, Jesus Christ"). Also Luk recorded a lot of songs with 5'Nizza member Andriy Zaporozhets (in particular the second album is a result of collaboration with Zaporozhets). Lounge music is a type of easy listening music popular in the 1950s and 1960s.
