49th International Emmy Awards
The 49th International Emmy Awards ceremony took place on November 22, 2021 at Casa Cipriani in New York City, recognizing excellence in television programs produced and aired originally outside the U.S., and non-English language US primetime program between the dates of January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020. The nominations were announced on September 23, 2021. The ceremony was hosted by Yvonne Orji, with presenters Vanessa Williams, Method Man, Joshua Jackson, Brian Cox, Piper Perabo, Danielle Moné Truitt, Chiké Okonkwo, Aidan Quinn, Brian d'Arcy James, Emeraude Toubia, Luciano Huck, Felipe Santana, Henning Baum and Angélica. Casa Cipriani is a hotel and private membership club that opened in August 2021 in the Battery Maritime Building, a ferry terminal, in lower Manhattan, New York City. Dennis Nilsen
Dennis Andrew Nilsen (23 November 1945 – 12 May 2018) was a Scottish serial killer and necrophile who murdered at least twelve young men and boys between 1978 and 1983 in London. Convicted at the Old Bailey of six counts of murder and two of attempted murder, Nilsen was sentenced to life imprisonment on 4 November 1983, with a recommendation that he serve a minimum of 25 years. This recommendation was later changed to a whole life tariff in December 1994. In his later years, Nilsen was imprisoned at Full Sutton maximum security prison. All of Nilsen's murders were committed at the two North London addresses where he lived between 1978 and 1983.
