Nova Scotia ( ; ; ) is one of the thirteen provinces and territories of Canada. It is one of the three Maritime provinces and one of the four Atlantic provinces. James Edward Rutledge
James Edward Rutledge (August 14, 1889 – August 15, 1966) was a lawyer and political figure in Nova Scotia, Canada. He represented Halifax County in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1939 to 1956 as a Liberal member. He was born in Sheet Harbour, Halifax County, Nova Scotia, the son of Alexander Cameron Rutledge and Ada Stewart Hartling. He was educated at Dalhousie University. He served as a lieutenant in the Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War I. In 1917, Rutledge married Minnie Etoile Silver. He was named King's Counsel in 1932. Joseph Richard Murphy (September 10, 1880 – October 16, 1944) was a Canadian politician. He represented the electoral district of Halifax South in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1940 to 1944. He was a member of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party. Murphy was born in 1880 at Halifax, Nova Scotia. Havelock L. Torrey (February 13, 1867 – April 1, 1949) was a farmer and political figure in Nova Scotia, Canada. Guysborough (provincial Electoral District)
Guysborough-Tracadie is a provincial electoral district in Nova Scotia, Canada, that elects one member of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly. It was created in 1867 as Guysborough. It included all of Guysborough County and elected two members to the House of Assembly. In 1933, the number of members elected was reduced to one. In 1993, the name was changed to Guysborough–Port Hawkesbury as the town of Port Hawkesbury was added to the district. In 2003 it was renamed Guysborough–Sheet Harbour as it gained an eastern area from Eastern Shore and lost Port Hawkesbury to Inverness. In 2013, following the recommendations of the 2012 Electoral Boundaries Commission, the district was renamed Guysborough–Eastern Shore–Tracadie and gained the area east of the Tracadie River from Antigonish.
