The 4th Canadian Women's Hockey League All-Star Game took place on January 20, 2019, at Scotiabank Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The event featured three 20-minute periods. Markham Thunder
The Markham Thunder was a professional women's ice hockey team in the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL). From 1998 through 2017, the franchise was known as the Brampton Thunder and Brampton Canadettes-Thunder before relocating from Brampton, Ontario, to Markham, Ontario, for the 2017–18 season. The CWHL ceased operations in 2019 and no further statements or actions were taken with the franchise. Kacey Bellamy
Kacey Lee Bellamy (born April 22, 1987) is an American ice hockey defender for the Calgary section of the PWHPA, an Olympic Silver medalist, and seven-time IIHF World Women's Championship winner. She currently plays for the Boston Pride in the National Women's Hockey League and the United States women's national ice hockey team. She won the Isobel Cup with the Pride and is a two-time Clarkson Cup champion with the Boston Blades of the Canadian Women's Hockey League. Erin Ambrose
Erin Ambrose (born April 30, 1994) is a Canadian women's ice hockey player with the PWHPA and the Canada women's national ice hockey team. She made her debut with the Canada women's national ice hockey team at the 2014 4 Nations Cup. Playing career At the age of 11, Ambrose moved from AA to AAA boys hockey, and in her second season, she was named team captain. She began to play women's ice hockey as a 14-year-old in 2008. Jessica Wong (born March 29, 1991), also known by the Chinese name Wang Yuting (), is a Canadian ice hockey player and member of the Chinese national ice hockey team, currently playing in the Zhenskaya Hockey League (ZhHL) with the KRS Vanke Rays. Worcester Blades
The Worcester Blades were a professional women's ice hockey team in the Canadian Women's Hockey League, based in Worcester, Massachusetts, and played their home games at the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center. The team began play in the 2010–11 CWHL season as the Boston Blades where they won the Clarkson Cup twice, in 2013 and 2015. Lauren Williams (born September 9, 1996) is a Canadian professional women's ice hockey player with the PWHPA. An alumna of the Wisconsin Badgers women's ice hockey program, Williams was the first pick overall in the 2018 CWHL Draft by the Blades. Playing career Williams won a gold medal with Team Ontario Blue at the 2012 Canadian U18 National Championships. Blayre Turnbull (born July 15, 1993) is a Canadian ice hockey player for the PWHPA. She made her debut with the Canada women's national ice hockey team at the 2014 4 Nations Cup. Career Turnbull attended Shattuck-St. Mary's, where she was a classmate of Nathan MacKinnon and played on the girls' hockey team. As a junior, she appeared in 52 contests while gaining 60 points (on 30 goals and 30 assists). With the team, won two national championships in two years. Toronto Furies
The Toronto Furies were a professional women's ice hockey team that played in Toronto, Ontario, as members of the Canadian Women's Hockey League. The Toronto Furies played their home games at the Mastercard Centre in Toronto. The team was established in 2010 as an expansion team called Toronto CWHL during a league-wide restructuring. Natalie Spooner
Natalie Marie Spooner (born October 17, 1990) is a Canadian ice hockey player for the now defunct Toronto Furies, who played for the Canadian National women's ice hockey team from 2007 to 2008, and rejoined the program in 2010. Spooner was the first player to play for the Canadian National Women's Team, the National Women's Under-22 Team and its Under-18 Team. Alexandria Cavallini (née Rigsby born January 3, 1992) is an American ice hockey goaltender, currently a member of the PWHPA. She has competed in numerous tournaments for the United States women's national ice hockey team. She is the first goaltender in USA Hockey history to have competed with the US National Under-18, Under-22, and Senior women's teams. She competed for the Wisconsin Badgers women's ice hockey program 2010–2014, and was on the roster of the Minnesota Whitecaps.
