91.9 Sea FM (call sign: 4SEE) is a commercial radio station licensed to, and serving the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas. It broadcasts on 91.9 MHz on the Frequency modulation, FM band from its studios in Maroochydore. It is owned by Great Southern Land Media Group, and is sister station to 92.7 Mix FM. History In 1995, Sea FM Pty Ltd - later the RG Capital, RG Capital Radio Network - purchased the license of studios of 92.7 Mix FM. The group was successful in launching a second station in the growing Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Sunshine Coast region. Maroochydore
Maroochydore ( ) is a coastal town in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. The town was subdivided from the Cotton Tree reserve by Surveyor Thomas O'Connor in 1903. The land was acquired from William Pettigrew who had a timber depot at what is now Wharf Street. Its name comes from the Yuggera language word ''Muru-kutchi'', meaning red-bill and referring to the black swan, which is commonly seen in the area. Maroochydore is a major commercial area of the Sunshine Coast with most shopping precincts located in the central business district. Glenn Dawson Wheatley (23 January 1948 – 1 February 2022) was an Australian musician, talent manager and tour promoter. Career Wheatley began his career as a musician in Brisbane in the mid-1960s. In the late 1960s he became known nationally as the bass player in the rock band the Masters Apprentices. He subsequently formed a media empire which included radio stations and artist management. Wheatley is best known as the long time manager of John Farnham, he has been described as an "iconic industry figure" and is credited with launching the career of Delta Goodrem.
