Video Game Graphics
A variety of computer graphic techniques have been used to display video game content throughout the history of video games. The predominance of individual techniques have evolved over time, primarily due to hardware advances and restrictions such as the processing power of central or graphics processing units. Text-based Some of the earliest video games were text games or text-based games that used text characters instead of bitmapped or vector graphics. Examples include MUDs (''multi-user dungeons''), where players could read or view depictions of rooms, objects, other players, and actions performed in the virtual world; and roguelikes, a subgenre of role-playing video games featuring many monsters, items, and environmental effects, as well as an emphasis on randomization, replayability and permanent death. Some of the earliest text games were developed for computer systems which had no video display at all. Text games are typically easier to write and require less proce ...

Stereoscopic Video Game
A stereoscopic video game (also S-3D video game) is a video game which uses stereoscopic technologies to create depth perception for the player by any form of stereo display. Such games should not to be confused with video games that use 3D game graphics on a mono screen, which give the illusion of depth only by monocular cues but not by binocular depth information. Description Stereoscopic video games have been available for several years for PCs through the Nvidia 3D Vision and other platforms including AMD HD3D, DDD TriDef that use compatible hardware and active shutter 3D glasses. For video game consoles, however, stereoscopic 3D support must be specifically built into each game. Potential stereoscopic game support is available, for instance, on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Wii U and PlayStation 4. Nintendo 3DS is fully designed for autostereoscopic games. Although no longer considered a key feature for successful game development by as many as during the stereosc ...

List Of Games With Nvidia 3D Vision Support
Nvidia 3D Vision is a technology developed by Nvidia, a multinational corporation which specializes in the development of graphics processing units and chipset technologies for workstations, personal computers and mobile devices. This technology allows games, movies and pictures to be displayed in stereoscopic 3D. To play the following in 3D, as well as convert over 650 existing games, requires Nvidia 3D Vision Glasses with a 120 Hz monitor, or red and cyan glasses with slower monitors, Windows Vista or later, enough system memory (2GB recommended), a compatible CPU (Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon X2 or higher) and a compatible Nvidia video card (some GeForce 200 series ones or later). Since releasing the technology in 2009, by the end of 2013 only about 40 games appeared certified as "3D Vision Ready", while other have noticeable defects in the 3D image. 3D Vision Ready games 3D Vision Ready demos Other games In addition to NVIDIA's official list of titles, there ...
