Taipei Arena
The Taipei Arena () is a multi-purpose stadium located in Songshan, Taipei, Taiwan, and it is operated by the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC). Built in 2005, the large multi-purpose stadium can accommodate major international sport events such as ice skating, ice hockey, gymnastics, handball, basketball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, indoor soccer, boxing, judo, karate, taekwondo and wrestling. Building It was designed by Archasia, an architectural firm based in Taipei, and Populous, a Kansas City, Missouri, design and architectural firm specializing in sports venues. Chthonic (band)
Chthonic (sometimes typeset ChthoniC or ChThoniC) is a Taiwanese heavy metal band, formed in 1995 in Taipei. They have been called "the Black Sabbath of Asia." The group incorporates influences from traditional Taiwanese music, including adaptations of folk songs and the use of traditional instruments, most notably the erhu (often called the ''hiân-á'' [] in the band's native Taiwanese Hokkien). Their stated goal is to use their music to bring ancient history and mythology into the modern era especially to build awareness of the myths of Taiwan and tragic events in that country's history (for example, those experienced by the Seediq people). Since 2011 their trademark erhu has been complemented with stringed instruments including the koto and shamisen, as well as Tibetan Bells and shakuhachi and pgaki flutes, the latter of which are traditionally used by the aboriginal people of Taiwan. Henry Hsu (; born 17 September 1987) is a Taiwanese singer of Hokkien pop. Hsu albums include ''Most Loved'' (2011), ''Writing Your Song'' (2012), and ''Yicunzhenxin'' 'An Inch of True Heart''(2014). Hsu's subsequent Hokkien albums have been shortlisted for Golden Melody Awards. Bobby Chen (; born 29 October 1958) is a Taiwanese singer and record producer. Career Chen was born in Xizhou, Changhua County in Taiwan. In elementary school, he was the only boy who took part in a singing competition and represented the entire school choir. When he was younger, he had wanted to be a painter. His interest in making music sparked much later in life. After he graduated, Chen moved to Taipei. There he engaged in multiple jobs like car repairing, elevator maintenance, art design and much more. He tried to enter Zhong Yi recording company (綜一唱片) three times. Jonathan Lee Chung-shan ( zh, t=李宗盛, p=Lǐ Zōngshèng; born 19 July 1958) is a Taiwanese musician and producer. He is regarded as one of the most influential and respected figures in the world of Mandopop music. Life and career Lee started in the music industry in the 1970s, during Taiwan's popular " campus folk song" era. He was a member of the "Wood Guitar" band. In 1983, Lee made his debut as a music producer for the album ''Light Rain Just Comes in Time'' by Zheng Yi, which became an instant hit. Denise Ho Wan-see (born 10 May 1977) is a Hong Kong-based Cantopop singer and actress. She is also a pro-democracy and Hong Kong human rights activist.
