3rd Hanoi International Film Festival
The 3rd Hanoi International Film Festival opened on November 23 and closed on November 27, 2014, at Hanoi Friendship Cultural Palace, with the slogan "Cinema - Integration and Sustainable Development" (Vietnamese: "Điện ảnh - Hội nhập và phát triển bền vững"). 130 films from 33 countries were selected to be screened at the festival. In which, there will be 13 feature-length films and 30 short films participating in the competition. Sivas (film)
''Sivas'' is a 2014 Turkish drama film directed by Kaan Müjdeci. It was selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the 71st Venice International Film Festival where it won the Special Jury Prize. The film was selected as the Turkish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards but it was not nominated. Plot The film follows an eleven-year-old boy named Aslan (Dogan Izci) and his relationship to a fighting dog, Sivas. The initial scenes show Aslan's life at school and home. Many of the interactions with his classmates and family members display conflict. Lee Doo-yong (born December 24, 1942) is a South Korean film director. Since his debut in 1969 with the film ''The Lost Wedding Veil'' (1970), Lee has made more than 60 films in a wide array of genres. Shahram Mokri
Shahram Mokri ( fa, شهرام مکری)(born 1978) is an Iranian filmmaker. He graduated from Soore University. Mokri started his filmmaking training in the Young Cinema Association and entered the professional world of cinema with his short film "Dragonfly Storm" (2002). Career Mokri received three Crystal Simorghs from the Fajr Film Festival for short films. He holds the record for receiving Crystal Simorghs in this category. In addition to filmmaking, Shahram Mokri has worked as a film Teacher at the Sooreh University of Tehran, the University of Arts, as well as Karnameh Film School, and the Bamdad Film School. The Hawai'i International Film Festival (HIFF) is an annual film festival held in the United States state of Hawaii. HIFF has a focus on Asian-Pacific cinema, education, and the work of new and emerging filmmakers.
