"3 Is Family" is the first single released from American singer Dana Dawson's second and final studio album, '' Black Butterfly'' (1995). The song was written by Billy Mann and produced by Ric Wake. In several territories, including the United Kingdom, it was released as her debut single on June 26, 1995. It was not released in the United States. The track was positively received by music critics and became a big radio hit in Europe, charting within the top 10 on the singles charts of Italy and the United Kingdom. On the European Hit Radio year-end chart for 1995, it was ranked at number 36. The song's success resulted in the follow-up single, "Got to Give Me Love", having its release date pushed back to October 1995. Critical reception James Masterton described the song as "bright" and "an almost classic bit of summer pop" in his weekly UK chart commentary, noting that Dawson's voice sounded like Australian singer Kylie Minogue's. Dana Dawson (August 7, 1974 – August 10, 2010) was an American actress and singer. Early life and career Dawson made her acting debut at the age of 7 in a national tour of ''Annie''. She was an understudy of the character Mimi, in the national tour of ''Rent'' in 2000 and joined the Broadway cast in 2001. In an interview in ''The Patriot-News'' (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania) Dawson said that she was given time to become secure in each of the two roles she understudied — Mimi and Joanne — before learning the other. The Dutch Single Top 100 or Single Top 100 is a Dutch chart, based on official physical single sales, legal downloads and since July 2013 streaming and composed by Dutch Charts. It is one of the three official charts, the other two being the Dutch Top 40 and the Mega Top 30. The difference is that these charts also include airplay data. The list is especially intended for the music industry and those who take an interest in charts. The Dutch Top 40 ( nl, Nederlandse Top 40) is a weekly music chart compiled by ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40''. It started as a radio program titled "Veronica Top 40", on the offshore station Radio Veronica in 1965. It remained "The Veronica Top 40" until 1974, when the station was forced to stop broadcasting. Joost den Draaijer initiated the Top 40 in the Netherlands. The show currently airs on Fridays from 2 to 6 PM on Qmusic. ''DV'' (''Dagblaðið Vísir'') is an online newspaper in Iceland published by Torg ehf. It came into existence as a daily newspaper in 1981 when two formerly independent newspapers, Vísir and Dagblaðið, merged. Early on it was one of the largest newspapers in Iceland and at one point had a 64% readership in Iceland. In the 1990s its readership started to dwindle and in 2003 its publisher was declared bankrupt. It was resurrected a week later by the publisher of Fréttablaðið.
