James Henry "Harry" Bloy (born April 19, 1946 in Greater Sudbury, Sudbury, Ontario) is a former BC Liberal Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Legislative Assembly, in the province of British Columbia, Canada. He started representing the riding of Burquitlam (provincial electoral district), Burquitlam after the 2001 British Columbia general election, 2001 election then represented the riding of Burnaby-Lougheed from 2009 to 2013. Bloy was the only member of the Liberal caucus to support Christy Clark in her successful 2011 British Columbia Liberal Party leadership election, 2011 leadership bid. The riding's name was resurrected from a former riding in the same area, with similar but not identical boundaries. Elayne Brenzinger (born 1951, in Scotland) was a Member of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, serving as a member of the British Columbia Liberal Party from 2001-2005. She was a key figure in the formation of the Democratic Reform British Columbia Party and was its first MLA. Career She was first elected to the Legislative Assembly as a member of the British Columbia Liberal Party in the 2001 provincial election for the riding of Surrey-Whalley. Gulzar Cheema
Gulzar Singh Cheema (born August 11, 1954) is an Indian-born Canadian physician and politician. Cheema was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba from 1988 to 1993, and a member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 2001 to 2004, making him one of only a few Canadian politicians to sit in two provincial legislatures since Confederation. He is the first Indian-born person to be elected MLA in Canada.
