34th Ariel Awards
The 34th Ariel Awards ceremony, organized by the Mexican Academy of Film Arts and Sciences (AMACC) took place on April 27, 1992, in Mexico City. During the ceremony, AMACC presented the Ariel Award in 20 categories honoring films released in 1991. The Ariel Award for Best Actress (Spanish: Premio Ariel a Mejor Actriz) is an award presented by the Academia Mexicana de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas (AMACC) in Mexico. It is given in honor of an actress who has delivered an outstanding performance in a leading role while working within the Mexican film industry. In 1947, the 1st and 2nd Ariel Awards were held, with Dolores del Río and María Félix winning for the films ''Las Abandonadas'' and '' Enamorada'', respectively. ''Highway Patrolman'' (Spanish: ''El patrullero'') is a 1991 Mexican feature film by the British director Alex Cox. It was produced by Lorenzo O'Brien, who also wrote the screenplay, and stars Roberto Sosa, Bruno Bichir, Zaide Silvia Gutiérrez and Vanessa Bauche. Bruno Bichir Nájera (born 6 October 1967) is a Mexican actor and one of the members of the Bichir family. Biography Bichir was born in Mexico City. He started his acting career at the age of five in several theater, film and television series. He made his film debut in a minor role for '' Under Fire''. In 1986, he obtained a role in ''Frida, naturaleza viva'', a film about the life of Frida Kahlo, he studied at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica ("Center of Film Training") in Mexico City. Eduardo Estrada Palomo (; (Mexico City; May 13, 1962 – Los Angeles; † November 6, 2003) was a Mexican actor. Palomo became famous across Mexico and Latin America after his 1993 characterization of ''Juan del Diablo'' in '' Corazón salvaje'' (1993-1994). Career Palomo was born in Mexico City, the son of Jesús Estrada and Miliza Palomo, brother of Jesús Jr. and Susana.
