The 33rd Guam Legislature was a meeting of the Guam Legislature. It convened in Hagatna, Guam on January 5, 2015 and ended on January 2, 2017, during the 1st and 2nd years of Eddie Calvo's 2nd Gubernatorial Term. Legislature Of Guam
The Legislature of Guam ( ch, Liheslaturan Guåhan) is the law-making body for the United States territory of Guam. The unicameral legislative branch consists of fifteen senators, each serving for a two-year term. All members of the legislature are elected at-large with the island under one whole district. After the enactment of the Guam Organic Act in 1950, the First Guam Legislature was elected composing of 21 elected members. James Espaldon
James Virata Espaldon (born June 21, 1956), also known as Jim Espaldon, is an American politician and lawyer. A member of the Republican Party, Espaldon is a former candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Guam in the 2010 gubernatorial election as the running mate of Michael Cruz. He placed fourth in the 2014 Guam Elections for the Legislature of Guam. On May 31, 2018, Espaldon announced that he would not seek reelection in 2018. Frank Aguon
Frank Blas Aguon Jr. (born June 21, 1966) is a Guamanian politician and army lieutenant. A Democrat, he served in the Legislature of Guam from 1997 to 2007, 2009 to 2011 and from 2013 to 2019. He is a former Vice-Speaker from 2003 to 2005. Senator Aguon won re-election by his 1st place with more votes in 2014 and 2016, than his 2nd-place run in 2012. Aguon has also run as a candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Guam in the 2006 and 2010 gubernatorial elections and was the running mate of former Guam Governor Carl Gutierrez in the 2010 election. Mary Camacho Torres is a Guamanian politician. Torres serves as a Republican senator in the Guam Legislature. Early life Torres was born in Tamuning, Guam. Torres' father was Carlos Garcia Camacho (1924-1979), a dentist and the first elected governor of Guam. Torres' mother is Lourdes Perez Camacho, former First Lady of Guam. Torres graduated from Academy of Our Lady of Guam, an all-girls Catholic high school. Education Torres earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University in Massachusetts.
