The 33rd European Film Awards was scheduled to be presented in Reykjavík, Iceland on 12 December 2020. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic the awards were announced in a virtual event online. Harpa (concert Hall)
Harpa () is a concert hall and conference centre in Reykjavík, Iceland. The opening concert was held on May 4, 2011. The building features a distinctive colored glass facade inspired by the basalt landscape of Iceland. History Harpa was designed by the Danish firm Henning Larsen Architects in co-operation with Danish- Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson. The structure consists of a steel framework clad with geometric shaped glass panels of different colours. The building was originally part of a redevelopment of the Austurhöfn area dubbed World Trade Center Reykjavík, which was temporarily abandoned when the 2008 Icelandic financial crisis took hold. The development was originally intended to include a 400-room hotel, luxury apartments, retail units, restaurants, a car park and the new headquarters of Icelandic bank Landsbanki. Jan Tadeusz Komasa (born October 28, 1981) is a Polish film director, screenwriter, and producer best known for directing '' Suicide Room'' (2011), '' Warsaw 44'' (2014), and ''Corpus Christi'' (2019), which was nominated for the Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards. Amanda Kernell (; born 9 September 1986) is a Swedish, Southern Sami director and screenwriter. She is best known for the movie ''Sami Blood'', which won several awards. Biography Amanda Kernell was born in Umeå. In her early teens, she devoted herself to acting and directing within the municipal theater. Her mother is Swedish, but through her father, she developed roots in Sami culture. She has, among other things, worked as a film educator in Västerbotten County, and acted in the film Maison (2007). Mina Nikolova Mileva ( bg, Мина Николова Милева) is a Bulgarian director and animator. She is best known for her cinematography in ''Cat in the Wall'' (2019) and ''Women Do Cry'' (2021) alongside directing partner Vesela Kazakova. Life and career Mileva studied animation at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia, and at La Cambre in Brussels. She has lived in London since 1997, working as a freelance animator.
