The 31st Paratrooper Regiment (german: Fallschirmjägerregiment 31) is a 1,800 men strong formation of the German Army The German Army (, "army") is the land component of the armed forces of Germany. The 31st (Oldenburg) Airborne Brigade (german: Luftlandebrigade 31 “Oldenburg“) was a 3,600 man strong formation in the German Army with its headquarters in Oldenburg in north Germany. It was subordinated to the Special Operations Division and classified as part of the Army’s stabilisation forces. All elements of the Brigade were stationed in the state of Lower Saxony, the majority in Seedorf. The ''Division Schnelle Kräfte'' (Rapid Forces Division) formerly ''Division Spezielle Operationen'' (Special Operations Division) is an airborne division of the German Army. Its headquarters staff is based at Stadtallendorf. It was created as 1st Airborne Division (''1. EGB Forces
EGB Forces (Specialized Army Forces with Expanded Capabilities) (German: ''Spezialisierte Kräfte des Heeres mit Erweiterter Grundbefähigung)'' is a specialized operations force of the German Bundeswehr, organized under the Rapid Forces Division. Background In 2007 EGB Forces were established as a light infantry unit to close the gap between conventional infantry units and the Kommando Spezialkräfte. Therefore, each of the four paratrooper battalions established one specialized company to serve as an enhanced-skilled company. These battalions are now two regiments with companies. The Wiesel Armoured Weapons Carrier (AWC) is a German light air-transportable armoured fighting vehicle, more specifically a lightly armoured weapons carrier, produced by Rheinmetall.
