28th Filmfare Awards
The 28th Filmfare Awards were held in 1981. ''Insaaf Ka Tarazu'' and '' Thodisi Bewafaii'' led the ceremony with 9 nominations each, followed by ''Aakrosh'' and ''Aasha'' with 7 nominations each. ''Aakrosh'' won 6 awards, including Best Director (for Govind Nihalani), Best Actor (for Naseeruddin Shah) and Best Supporting Actor (for Om Puri), thus becoming the most-awarded film at the ceremony. Khubsoorat
''Khubsoorat'' (transl. Beautiful) is a 1980 Indian Hindi, Hindi-language comedy-drama film, directed and produced by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, co-produced by N. C. Sippy with dialogues written by Gulzar. The movie stars Ashok Kumar, Rekha, Rakesh Roshan, Dina Pathak in lead roles. The movie received critical acclaim and was a box-office success. The movie was remade in Telugu language, Telugu as Swargam in 1981 and Tamil language, Tamil as Lakshmi Vandhachu and in Malayalam as Vannu Kandu Keezhadakki. ''Qurbani'' () is a 1980 Indian Hindustani action thriller film produced, directed by and starring Feroz Khan (under the banner of FK International). The film co-stars Vinod Khanna, Zeenat Aman, Amjad Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Aruna Irani, Amrish Puri and Kadar Khan. Vinod Khanna
Vinod Khanna (6 October 1946 – 27 April 2017) was an Indian actor, film producer and politician who is best known for his work in Hindi films; while also being a notable spiritual seeker.
