27th Bachsas Awards
The 27th Bachsas Awards were given by Bangladesh Cholochitra Sangbadik Samity (Bangladesh Cine-Journalists' Association) to outstanding performers of the silver screen, small screen, music, dance and theatre in 2005. This award was introduced in 1972 to encourage the fledgling film industry of the country. Ilias Kanchan
Idris Ali (born 24 December 1956; known by his stage name Ilias Kanchan) is a Bangladeshi actor and activist. He appeared in more than 350 films during the 1980s and 1990s. Arifa Pervin Zaman (born 3 November,1972), better known by her stage name Moushumi, is a Bangladeshi film actress and director. She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress three times for her roles in ''Meghla Akash'' (2001), ''Devdas'' (2013) and ''Taarkata'' (2014). Amjad Hossain (14 August 1942 – 14 December 2018) was a Bangladeshi film director, actor, scriptwriter and lyricist. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Director twice, for the films ''Golapi Ekhon Traine'' (1978) and '' Bhat De'' (1984). He also won Bangla Academy Literary Award in 2004 and Ekushey Padak in 1992. Career Hossain was born in Jamalpur on 14 August 1942. Mahfuzur Rahman Khan
Mahfuzur Rahman Khan, aka, Mahfoozur Rahman Khan (10 May 1949 – 6 December 2019), was a Bangladeshi cinematographer having received the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Cinematography a record breaking ten times during his career. Though he was also a film director, actor and producer, he was most famously remembered for working behind the camera in films directed by Humayun Ahmed and other legendary film makers including Shibli Sadik and Alamgir Kumkum. Bachsas ( Bangladesh Cholochitra Sangbadik Samity) Awards was introduced in 1972 to encourage the fledgling film industry of the country. Bangladesh Cholochchitra Shangbadik Samity (Bangladesh Cine-Journalists' Association) gave out their most prestigious awards to outstanding performers in film, television, music, dance and theatre. History Bachsas Award is the first Bangladeshi award introduced after liberation war. The motto of the award was "Creative films with social commitment" and the symbol was the Royal Bengal Tiger.
