22nd Annual Latin Grammy Awards
The 22nd Annual Latin Grammy Awards was held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas to honour the best musical releases within Latin music released from June 1, 2020, to May 31, 2021. The nominations were announced on September 28, 2021. The ceremony was air live on Univision. In June 2021, Panamanian musician Rubén Blades was named Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year, Person of the Year by the The Latin Recording Academy, Latin Recording Academy, unlike last year where the main ceremony took place in a normal way but the Person of the Year award was not given nor did the ceremony for the award took place due to the Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on television in the United States, COVID-19 pandemic, this year's ceremony for the award took place on November 17, 2021, the day before the main ceremony as it usually does. The MGM Grand Garden Arena (originally known as the MGM Grand Garden Special Events Center) is a 17,000-seat multi-purpose arena located within the MGM Grand Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip. Martinho Da Vila
Martinho da Vila (born February 12, 1938) is a Brazilian singer and composer who is considered to be one of the main representatives of samba and MPB. He is a prolific songwriter, with hundreds of recorded songs across over 40 solo albums. He also has many songs that were recorded by singers from different musical genres.
