2024 North Dakota Democratic Presidential Primary
The 2024 North Dakota Democratic presidential primary took place from late February to March 30, 2024, as part of the Democratic Party primaries for the 2024 presidential election. 17 delegates to the Democratic National Convention will be allocated to presidential candidates. Voting took place almost entirely by mail, with some in-person voting on reservations, and in Fargo, Bismarck, and Grand Forks. Mailed-in ballots must have been received by noon on March 30. Hartford, Connecticut
Hartford is the capital city of the U.S. state of Connecticut. It was the seat of Hartford County until Connecticut disbanded county government in 1960. It is the core city in the Greater Hartford metropolitan area. Nancy DiNardo (born 1949/1950) is an American politician and owner of commercial real estate in Connecticut. She is the current Chairwoman of the Democratic Party of Connecticut and is first woman to hold that position. She previously served in that position from 2005 until 2015. In the intervening five years, she served as Vice Chairwoman. Career DiNardo served as the chairperson of the party's Trumbull CT Town Committee for nearly 20 years. Joe Courtney (politician)
Joseph David Courtney (born April 6, 1953) is an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. representative for since 2007. His district encompasses most of the eastern third of the state, including Norwich and New London. A member of the Democratic Party, Courtney served as the Connecticut state representative for the 56th district from 1987 to 1995 and Vernon town attorney from 2003 until 2006. Early life and education Courtney grew up in suburban Hartford. In 1975, he graduated from Tufts University. He earned a J.D. degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1978. Susan Bysiewicz ( ; born September 29, 1961) is an American politician and attorney who is the 109th lieutenant governor of Connecticut, serving since January 9, 2019. She previously served as the 72nd secretary of the state of Connecticut from 1999 to 2011. She was briefly a candidate for governor of Connecticut in 2010, before dropping out to run for Connecticut Attorney General. She was disqualified from running for the office by the Connecticut Supreme Court and announced in 2011 that she was running for the United States Senate in the 2012 election to replace the retiring Joe Lieberman. She lost the Democratic primary to U.S. Representative Chris Murphy, who went on to win the general election. Edward Miner Lamont Jr. (born January 3, 1954) is an American businessman and politician serving as the 89th governor of Connecticut. He has served in this position since January 9, 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as a Greenwich selectman from 1987 to 1989. He ran for the United States Senate in 2006, defeating incumbent Joe Lieberman in the Democratic primary, but losing to him in the general election, when Lieberman ran as an independent candidate.
